Chung Sang-Hwa's large-scale solo exhibition Chung Sang Hwa will be held from May 22 to September 26 at the the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea. The exhibition Chung Sang Hwa intends to provide a retrospective of as well as a renewed look at the artist’s authentic body of work and contextualize it within the history of Korean abstract art.

When the canvas is reframed, its front is already a homogenous flat surface, hence, the fact that the actual work beings here makes the work eviendce of a tearing the small square units of the grid apart, multiple other flat areas are prepared. Repeatedly recognizing a flat surface from a flat surface may be tantamount to vain effort, but this is precisely the point at which recognition reaches its full maturity. 한국 미술의 거장, 정상화 화백의 대규모 개인전 《정상화》가 국립현대미술관 서울에서 5월 22일부터 9월 26일까지 열린다. 이번 전시는 한국 추상미술의 역사에 있어 독창적인 작품세계를 일궈온 정상화의 화업을 총망라하고 재조명한다.
