Myoung Ho Lee’s representative work Tree… #2 is on view at deCordova Sculpture Park & Museum, Massachusetts, USA. PLATFORM is a series of one-person commissioned projects by early-and mid-career artists from New England, national, and international art communities that engage with deCordova’s unique landscape. The PLATFORM series lets artists expand their practice and visitors experience new approaches to contemporary sculpture. Through the project, Tree… #2 printed on the 20 feet long panel and installed in the forest of the sculpture park. The image of the object "tree" reproduced on the canvas in the work harmonizing with the actual trees of the sculpture park and creating a single landscape creates a unique and surreal feeling.⠀The tree in Tree… #2 was photographed in Mongolia. Lee has turned the tree, standing alone on a faraway grassland 3,200 kilometers northwest of Ulaanbaatar, into an object worthy of notice.

이명호의 대표작 <Tree… #2>가 미국 메사추세츠주에 위치한 디코도바 조각공원과 미술관에서 야외 설치물로 재탄생했다. 'PLATFORM’ 프로젝트는 신진, 중견작가의 작품을 디코도바 조각공원의 독특한 풍경 속에서 소개하여 동시대 미술에 대한 예술가와 관람객의 식견을 확장하고자 시작되었다. 이번 프로젝트를 통해 이명호의 작품 <Tree… #2>는 가로 6미터 크기의 대형 판넬로 특별히 제작되어 조각공원 숲 속에 설치되었다. 사진 속 캔버스 위에 재현된 ‘나무’라는 대상이 조각공원의 실제 나무들과 어우러지며 하나의 풍경을 만들어내는 모습은 신비롭고 초현실적인 느낌을 자아낸다. <Tree… #2>는 몽골에서 촬영했다. 작가는 울란바토르에서 서북쪽으로 3,200km 떨어진 초원에 홀로 서 있는 이 나무를 주목할 만한 존재로 전환했다.
